In Roman mythology, Neptune was known as the god of sea and in Greek mythology it played the same role but
was given the name Poseidon. Neptune was shown as a bearded man with long hair holding a
trident, accompanied by dolphins. Neptune, or Poseidon had a very bad temper and in rage would create storms and earthquakes.
Neptune married Amphitrite, with the help of his dolphin, and they ruled the waters together.
