Venus is the second planet closest to the sun.  It is 108,200,000 km away from the sun, making it the hottest planet of the Solar System.  It is the fourth smallest planet in our Solar System. Venus's orbit is the most circular compared to any other planet, with an eccentricity of less than 1%.  It has a diameter of 12,103.6 km and has a mass of 4.869e24 kg. It takes Venus 225 Earth days to orbit the sun, rotating from east to west. Venus is bordered by thick clouds of sulfuric acid, which move at very high speeds.  Since Venus is the hottest and brightest planet, there is no water on it, it is  covered with volcanoes and old lava flows.
